Lewiston Senior Citizens Program
Welcome to the Lewiston Senior Citizens Program page!


We are a private organization governed by a volunteer board of directors. Our activities happen at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave. in the Senior Center. Included with our annual membership fee are activities which are listed below as well as a monthly newsletter.

Lewiston Senior Citizens Weekly Games

Games at the armory are available to Lewiston Senior Citizens Program Members only, registration is not required and some additional fees may apply. 


Cribbage every Thursday. Doors open at 8 a.m. play starts at 9 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Fee for league (Sept. to May) and optional weekly pool.

Reminder: If inclement weather occurs LSC activities are cancelled when the Lewiston Public Schools system closes. If there is a 2 hour delay Cribbage and Bingo are cancelled. This decision is up to each program manager. 
           
Membership Luncheons
Lewiston Senior Citizens Luncheons are scheduled generally every other month with some exceptions. Lunches and special events are advertised only in the monthly LSC newsletter for members. Registration for these lunches needs to be done on the phone or in the office. Online registration is not available for these events. 

Senior Fun Day  
Monday, August 18th
Location:Left Hand Club, Old County Road to Wagg Road,      Lisbon ,ME                        
Time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. - Bingo starts at 10 a.m.        
Fee:$10 per person-Cash Bar Available
Food: Hamburgers, hot dogs, side salads, desserts , beverage
Games: Horseshoes, corn hole, balloon toss, drawings, 50/50,        and Pass the Buck  
Tickets available in the Senior Office only. 
Last date to purchase tickets is Tuesday, August 12, 2025

MONDAY SEPTEMBER 8TH -MEMBERSHIP LUNCHEON
Location: Lewiston Senior Center, 65 Central Avenue
Lunch: 12:15 p.m. - Olive Garden - Salad, Breadsticks, Choice of Soup - Minestrone, Chicken and Gnocchi (pick one when signing up for lunch), dessert  and beverage -
Price: $12.00 per person.
 
1:00 p.m. - Speaker will be Crystal Guerrette.  She will speak about the Honor Flight Maine Program and the Empty Chair.
Please purchase your ticket in the office.  Last day to sign up for lunch is Thursday, September 4, 2025.

Trip information will be posted here when they are scheduled and announced by the LSC Board of directors. 

CHARLES SIGHT SEEING CRUISE- Monday July 28, 2025

Join us for cheesecake and a river boat ride down the Charles River in Cambridge, MA on July 28, 2025.  We will leave the Lewiston Park and Ride on Lisbon Street at 9:00 a.m. and travel to the Cheesecake Factory for lunch.  You will get to select from a limited menu but a piece of cheesecake and a beverage is a definite part of every meal.  After lunch we will head to the boat for a 70 minute ride on the Charles River.  We should be home around 5:30 p.m.  The cost of the trip is $115.00 and includes the bus, meal, boat ride, and tips for the boat staff and bus driver.  Deadline to sign up is 6/30/25.

TRAIN RIDE – Tuesday August 5, 2025

Enjoy a train ride and a sampling of Maine made drinks on August 5, 2025 as we travel to Alna, Maine and board the Wiscasset, Waterville and Farmington Railway.  We will leave the Lewiston Park and Ride at 8:30 a.m. for the train ride which will also give you the chance to see the museum and their store.  After the train ride we will travel to the Taste of Maine in Woolwich for lunch on your own.  We then go to the Maine Tasting Center to learn about Maine drinks.  You will get to taste beer, cider, mead, wine and a spiritWe should be home around 4:30 p.m.  The cost is $115.00 which includes the bus, train, tasting and tip for the bus driver.  This trip is limited to 40 people and the deadline to sign up is July 3, 3025.

OGUNQUIT PLAYHOUSE – Wednesday, September 24, 2025

We will leave the Lewiston Park and Ride at 12 noon and head straight to the   playhouse to see “When Elvis Met the Beatles”. After the play we will travel to the Clambake for dinner on your own.  Should be home around 7 p.m.  The cost is $110.00 which includes play, bus and driver tip.  Deadline to sign up is 8/22/25

2025 Gardens Aglow-Dec. 5th 
Join us on Friday, December 5, 2025 for a trip to Boothbay's Gardens Aglow.  This is a great way to get in the holiday spirit.  We will leave the Lewiston Park and Ride at 3:15 p.m. and head to the Taste of Maine for dinner on your own.  From there we will go to the Gardens Aglow for our scheduled time.  We should be back in Lewiston around 9:30 p.m.  The cost is $65.00 per person and   includes the bus, entrance to the Gardens and the bus driver's tip.

Lewiston Senior Citizens Program Cancellation Policy: If the LSC trip cancellation is more than 14 days away from the date, a refund is given minus a $10 administration service charge. The 2.5% credit card use charge is nonrefundable.
If the cancellation is within the 14-day period of the trip date without medical reason, there will be no refund. If LSC fills the spot with someone on the waitlist, reimbursement may be available.
Trips are non-transferable.


Online Registration Information:
-You do not need to be a LSC member to register for day trips. You must have an account set up in MY Rec to register online. If you are a 2024 LSC Member there is an account set up for you already.
-Click on the trip you are choosing. Follow each step carefully when you get to completing your purchases you'll have 2 options. 

Option 1: A complete online registration to purchase a trip or membership is only available by credit card purchase.
Option 2: If you want to register online but not use a credit card you can do this but your seat is not reserved until approved by Lewiston Rec staff. This is called Pre-registration. When you reach the choice of  CHECK OUT ON LINE or PRINT A PRE-REGISTRATION FORM click on Print a pre-registration form. Please call 513-3059 and make Stephanie aware of this choice.
