We are a private organization governed by a volunteer board of directors. Our activities happen at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave. in the Senior Center. Included with our annual membership fee are activities which are listed below as well as a monthly newsletter.

Lewiston Senior Citizens Weekly Games
Games at the armory are available to Lewiston Senior Citizens Program Members only, registration is not required and some additional fees may apply.
Bingo (Every 2nd and 4th Wed. (Fee for cards) Doors open at 9:00 a.m.-Cards sold 10:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. play starts at 12:00 p.m.

Reminder: If inclement weather occurs LSC activities are cancelled when the Lewiston Public Schools system closes. If there is a 2 hour delay Cribbage and Bingo are cancelled. This decision is up to each program manager.
Membership Luncheons
Luncheons at the armory are scheduled generally every other month with some exceptions. Lunches and special events are advertised in the monthly LSC newsletter for members. Registration for these lunches needs to be done on the phone or in the office. Online registration is not available for these events.

LAVENDER GARDEN AND WINE TRIP (FULL. If you are interested in being put on the wait list click on register and it will redirect you to a wait list or call (207) 513-3059)
June 26,2024 (Wednesday) – We will visit Moore Manor in Newport, ME. We will tour the lavender, rose and bee gardens and have a talk on lavender. We can explore the gardens and visit the gift shop. After this we go to Angler’s Restaurant for lunch on your own before heading to Dragonfly Winery for a tour and tasting.
We will leave Lewiston Park and Ride at 9:00 a.m. and return home around 5 p.m. The cost of the trip is $71.00 which includes the bus, lavender farm, wine tour, tasting and tips.

July 2, 2024 (Tuesday) – We will enjoy a meal of New England Clam Chowder, Maine Lobster, steamers, mussels, potato, onion, corn on the cob, and blueberry crumb cake for dessert. As an alternative, chicken and vegetarian are available. Coffee, tea and lemonade are included and a cash bar for those who would like something else to drink. You need to tell us your meal choice when you sign up.
Once we leave Foster’s we will head to MV Thomas Laighton for our 3 hour narrated cruise around the Isle of Shoals and Portsmouth Harbor. We will leave Lewiston Park and Ride at 10 a.m. and should be home around 6:30 p.m. The price for the bus, meal, cruise and tips is $125.00. Deadline to sign up for this trip is (Friday) April 26.

Lakewood Theater August 21, 2024 (Wednesday) Join us for an afternoon of laughter as we enjoy a matinee showing of “Mrs. Parliament’s Night Out”. We will leave the Lewiston Park and Ride at 10:30 a.m. and head to Ken’s Family Restaurant for lunch on your own. We then go to Lakewood for the show and plan to be home by 6 p.m.
The price is $82.00 which includes the bus, show and bus driver’s tip. Deadline to sign up is (Friday) July 12th.

September 27, 2024 (Friday) – We will leave the Lewiston Park and Ride at 10 a.m. and travel to Meredith, N.H. for a 2 hour train ride. While on board we will enjoy a turkey dinner from Hart’s Turkey Farm. We plan to be back home around 6:30 p.m.
The price is $116.00 which includes the bus, train ride, turkey dinner and bus driver’s tip. Deadline to sign up is August 29, 2024. We are limited to 45 people only so sign up early.
Note: All trip refunds issued by the Lewiston Senior Citizens will be subject to a $10 administrative fee. There is a 2% non refundable charge when using a credit card. Trips cannot be cancelled 14 days prior to the trip date. You are advised to find someone to purchase your spot to keep from losing money.

-You must have an account set up in MY Rec to register online. If you are a 2024 LSC Member there is an account set up for you already.
-Click on the trip you are choosing. Follow each step carefully when you get to completing your purchases you'll have 2 options.
Option 1: A complete online registration to purchase a trip or membership is only available by credit card purchase.
Option 2: If you want to register online but not use a credit card you can do this but your seat is not reserved until approved by Lewiston Rec staff. This is called Pre-registration. When you reach the choice of CHECK OUT ON LINE or PRINT A PRE-REGISTRATION FORM click on Print a pre-registration form. Please call 513-3059 and make Stephanie aware of this choice.
