Age Friendly Activities are open to any 50+ person and no membership is required to participate. 

Monthly Evening Dessert & Discuss
FREE for any 50+ Lewiston Residents and surrounding areas!

A new collaboration with AARP aims to create discussions and education on different topics that are important to the over 50 population. These 1 hour seminars will be on Wednesday of each month from 5:30 to 6:30 PM, in the Senior Room at the Lewiston Armory,
65 Central Ave. Lewiston.

Dessert is provided by AARP


4/30/25 William Healey-Lewiston Chief Assessor: Discussion about Lewiston's Valuation Process *Rescheduled from 2/26
William is the Chief Assessor for Lewiston and will present the process of valuation. Join our discussion, Question & Answer session. 

5/21/25 Community Credit Union: Estate Planning
A one hour seminar focused on key aspects of financial security for those aged 50 and above, covering estate planning, retirement strategies, long-term care options, asset protection, and effective strategies for ensuring a smooth financial future for your heirs.

6/25/25 Sean O'Connell, ReTreeUS: Gardening
We will discuss how to pick the perfect apple, peach, pear, plum and how to take care of your fruit trees.

7/16/25 Winn Brown: Archery
This talk and demonstration is a great way to understand more about archery and help you decide if it’s a sport you would like to take up.
Winn is a USA Archery Level III Coach, and the head coach at Maine School of Archery. Winn is passionate about making archery accessible, safe and enjoyable for everyone. Winn works with many of the summer camps in southern Maine to certify their archery instructors. Winn also teaches archery at LL Bean in Freeport, Point Sebago Resort in Naples, and Portland Recreation in Portland. When not teaching archery, Winn is an avid bow hunter, embracing every chance to pursue his passion for archery and the great outdoors here in Maine.
 
8/20/25 Megan Bates: Lewiston's Director of Highway and Open Spaces
Megan will share information about the trail system and its features throughout the city of Lewiston.
