Summer Counselor-in-Training (CIT) • Register • View Cart •

CIT
Counselors-in-Training, CITs, will join us for 7 weeks this Summer where they will aid and assist in the execution of camp activities, games, & field trips, including participating and engaging with campers. Each week, usually Mondays, the CITs & the CIT Director will go over different ways in how to become a proper counselor, learning how to run an activity, and how to problem solve different situations.

New this year is an EXTENDED Week of Summer Camp. CITs are welcome to attend this extra week of camp!

Who: Boys & Girls who will be entering 9th or 10th grade in Fall 2024
Where: Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave. Lewiston, ME unless off site for a field trip
When: CITs can be dropped off as early as 7:30AM and should be picked up by 5:30PM
Cost:
- Resident Early Bird (Discount applied at checkout): $300
- Resident Starting April 13th: $400
- Non-Resident Early Bird (Discount applied at checkout): $375
- Non-Resident Starting April 13th: $475
EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION ENDS FRIDAY, APRIL 12th
ALL CAMP REGISTRATION CLOSES FRIDAY, JUNE 7th 

FAMILY & C.I.T Informational Night: FRIDAY, JUNE 14th 5:30pm - 6:30pm at the Lewiston Armory Senior Center (65 Central Ave, Lewiston). 

What to Bring Every Day: Lunch is provided by Lewiston Schools Nutrition program, but you may bring your own, snacks, water bottle, CIT shirt, backpack with bathing suit & towel or change of clothes, comfortable & appropriate clothes and sneakers. 

Camper Communication Form: This form is available here , below under "Additional Forms and Files" , or you can pick one up in our main office. If there is information that you would like to share with our camp staff regarding your child that would make their experience more enjoyable, please complete a Camper Communication Form. 

Medical Authorization Form: This form is available here, below under "Additional Forms and Files", or you can pick one up in our main office. To administer any type of medication (prescription or over the counter medications) we must have a signed “Medical Authorization Form” on file. Prescription medications must be in their original bottle with the current pharmacist label on it. Lewiston Recreation does not have a trained medical professional on staff. Should your child need to take medication at camp, it will be self-administered with the assistance of the CIT Director, Summer Camp Lead or a Senior Staff member. The staff will document when the medication is administered. If you have any questions regarding our medication policy, please contact Lewiston Recreation at 207-513-3005. 

Payment Plans: At this time, Lewiston Recreation Department does not offer financial aid or have a scholarship program. We are happy to assist with setting up a payment plan. Please contact Alyssa Davis at aclark@lewistonmaine.gov to start the payment plan process.
