Join us this Fall with our Intro to Field Hockey (grade K-2nd) & Travel Field Hockey (Grades 3rd-6th) programs! Each player will receive a team shirt!

Intro to Field Hockey Registration Deadline: Wednesday, Sept. 1st or as space allows.
Travel 3rd-6th Grade Registration Deadline: Tuesday, Aug. 26th or as space allows.

Intro to Field Hockey (K-2nd)

Dates: Saturdays, Sept. 6th - Oct. 11th
Picture Day: Saturday, Sept. 13th @ 7:45AM
Game Day: Sunday, Oct. 12th will be a home weekend where the players will get a chance to play in 2 games. Times are TBD with games at Joseph Deschenes Field (LHS Baseball Field), 195 Birch St. Lewiston, ME
LHS Field Hockey Team Tunnel: Monday, Sept. 29th all Intro & Travel Field Hockey players will attend the LHS Field Hockey game. Before the game begins at 5:30PM, players will join the LHS Team on the field to help with the team tunnel as they do starting lineups.
Time: 8:00AM - 9:00AM
Location: Fleurette Roux Bannon Field, 91 Jefferson St 
Grade: Kindergarten - 2nd Grade, Boys & Girls
Cost: $50 Residents; $60 Non-Residents
Equipment Needed: Shin Guards, running shoes/cleats, eyewear goggles (highly encouraged), field hockey stick & mouth guard (required). Lewiston Recreation will have a limited number of field hockey sticks & shin guards at the field. 
Description: Intro to Field Hockey is a 6 week clinic style format open to all skill levels to learn and develop your child's shooting, passing & defending skills of the sport!


Travel Field Hockey (3rd-6th)

Practice Dates & Times: Sept. 2nd - Oct. 16th Tuesdays & Thursdays, from 5:00PM-6:15PM. 
Picture Day: Tuesday, Sept. 23rd @ 4:45PM

Description: Travel Field Hockey is the next step in learning and developing their knowledge of the game. They will work on more advanced skills, positions such as goalie, the rules of the game, teamwork & sportsmanship. They will have 2 practices a week and then home & away games with other towns such as Turner, Lakes Region & Poland. Depending on numbers and what grade everyone is, we may split into a 3rd/4th team & a 5th/6th grade team.
