Middle School & High School Recreation Basketball Season!
Join Our Coaching Team! Youth Sports Volunteers are the heart of our programs. Join our coaching team and help foster a positive and supportive environment for our young athletes. Volunteer coaches who oversee a team will receive FREE player registration, contingent on completion of a background check. Interested in coaching? Co-ed Middle School Basketball
Team Evaluations: Wednesday, December 9th at 5:00pm.
Practice Dates/Times: Teams will be assigned a practice between 5pm - 8:30pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays starting the week of December 14th.
Practice Location: Teams will be assigned a practice at Farwell Elementary School - 84 Farwell St or Geiger Elementary School - 601 College St
Game Dates: Games will start in January with a possible mix of Saturdays and weeknights depending on host site.
Game Time: Weekday afternoons and Saturday afternoons.
Game Locations: Home games will be at the Lewiston Armory (65 Central Ave) or Lewiston Middle School (75 Central Ave). Away games will be scheduled, families should be prepared to travel.
Grades: 7th & 8th Boys and Girls
Cost: $70.00 Lewiston Resident, $80.00 Non-Resident
Equipment: Comfortable clothes, sneakers, and a water bottle.
Volunteer Coaches: Coaches are provided practice plan resources. If you are interested or would like to learn more about becoming a volunteer coach please email Stephan Samba at ssamba@lewistonmaine.gov . As a thank you, coaches get a free registration and a coaching shirt!
