Welcome to the the Lewiston Senior Citizens Program page! We are a private organization governed by a volunteer board of directors. Our activities happen at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave. in the Senior Center. Included with our annual membership fee are activities which are listed below as well as a monthly newsletter. Doors open at 8 a.m. play starts at 9 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Fee for league (Sept. to May) and optional weekly pool. This decision is up to each program manager.                                                                Membership LuncheonsLewiston Senior Citizens Luncheons are scheduled generally every other month with some exceptions. Lunches and special events are advertised only in the monthly LSC newsletter for members. Registration for these lunches needs to be done on the phone or in the office. Online registration is not available for these events. May 5, 2025 12:15 p.m.  Cinco de Mayo Taco Lunch; Make your own tacos. 2 per person. Chicken or hamburger, all the ingredients, dessert and beverages.Price: $6.00 per person.  Buy your tickets in the Senior Center.         The deadline to sign up is Thursday, May 1st.We will have trivia questions about Mexico, Pinatas, and prizes.  Mexican attire if you want (but optional) and we will have a prize for the best Sombrero .                                                   Day TripsTrip information will be posted here when they are scheduled and announced by the LSC Board of directors. FOSTER’S CLAMBAKE – Tuesday, June 24, 2025We will leave the Lewiston Park and Ride at 9:30 a.m. and travel to Foster’s Clambake. You can choose to have a lobster dinner which includes lobster, clam chowder, steamed clams, mussels, corn on the cob, roasted red potato, onion, hot rolls and blueberry crumb cake.  Chicken is available for those who don’t want lobster.  Coffee, tea, and lemonade are included.  There also is a cash bar.  You need to choose lobster or chicken dinner when you sign up. After lunch we will travel to a site near York.  We are still working on the particulars and should know by the beginning of March.  We expect to be home around 5 p.m.  The cost is $100.00 which includes the bus, meal and driver tip. The deadline to sign up is May 28th. Sign up early!!OGUNQUIT PLAYHOUSE – Wednesday, June 11, 2025We will leave the Lewiston Park and Ride at 12 noon and travel to Ogunquit to see “Come from Away”, a true story about a small town in Newfoundland that takes in 7,000 stranded passengers on 9/11.  After the play we will travel to the Clambake in Scarborough for dinner on your own.  We should be home between 7:30 and 8:00 p.m. The cost is $110.00 which includes the bus, show and driver tip.  The deadline to sign up is May 7th. CHARLES SIGHT SEEING CRUISE- Monday July 28, 2025Join us for cheesecake and a river boat ride down the Charles River in Cambridge, MA on July 28, 2025.  We will leave the Lewiston Park and Ride on Lisbon Street at 9:00 a.m. and travel to the Cheesecake Factory for lunch.  You will get to select from a limited menu but a piece of cheesecake and a beverage is a definite part of every meal.  After lunch we will head to the boat for a 70 minute ride on the Charles River.  We should be home around 5:30 p.m.  The cost of the trip is $115.00 and includes the bus, meal, boat ride, and tips for the boat staff and bus driver.  Deadline to sign up is 6/30/25.TRAIN RIDE – Tuesday August 5, 2025 Enjoy a train ride and a sampling of Maine made drinks on August 5, 2025 as we travel to Alna, Maine and board the Wiscasset, Waterville and Farmington Railway.  We will leave the Lewiston Park and Ride at 8:30 a.m. for the train ride which will also give you the chance to see the museum and their store.  After the train ride we will travel to the Taste of Maine in Woolwich for lunch on your own.  We then go to the Maine Tasting Center to learn about Maine drinks.  You will get to taste beer, cider, mead, wine and a spirit.  We should be home around 4:30 p.m.  The cost is $115.00 which includes the bus, train, tasting and tip for the bus driver.  This trip is limited to 40 people and the deadline to sign up is July 3, 3025.OGUNQUIT PLAYHOUSE – Wednesday, September 24, 2025We will leave the Lewiston Park and Ride at 12 noon and head straight to the   playhouse to see “When Elvis Met the Beatles”. After the play we will travel to the Clambake for dinner on your own.  Should be home around 7 p.m.  The cost is $110.00 which includes play, bus and driver tip.  Deadline to sign up is 8/22/25   Link to register is below.  Note: All trip refunds issued by the Lewiston Senior Citizens will be subject to a $10 administrative fee. There is a 2.5% non refundable charge when using a credit card. Trips cannot be cancelled 14 days prior to the trip date. You are advised to find someone to purchase your spot to keep from losing money.                                           Online Registration Information:-You do not need to be a LSC member to register for day trips. You must have an account set up in MY Rec to register online. If you are a 2024 LSC Member there is an account set up for you already.-Click on the trip you are choosing. Follow each step carefully when you get to completing your purchases you'll have 2 options. Option 1: A complete online registration to purchase a trip or membership is only available by credit card purchase.Option 2: If you want to register online but not use a credit card you can do this but your seat is not reserved until approved by Lewiston Rec staff. DROP IN GAMES (Registration not required) Join us to play Canasta, Casual Cribbage, UNO or something of your choosing! All levels welcome and we'll teach you if you are new to the game! These games are "drop in" and registration is NOT required. CanastaEvery Monday. The Senior Room/Drill Room is available for you to use to join us in Canasta or other games if you choose. Paint Your Own ClothesThat's right, your clothes will be your canvas. A pair of jeans, jean skirt, jean shorts or jacket.....Melanie Therrien from Wicked Illustration will help use recycle reuse and beautify a piece of clothing so we can wear it again with our own art displayed! Details:Any adult 18 and above are invited to attend. Fee is $20 per person for Lewiston Resident  $22 for Non Res.What to Bring:A piece of clothing you would like to decorate with a picture of a flower that you will paint. These paints can stain so bring a smock, apron or wear clothing that you don't mind getting stained. You can choose to have a lobster dinner which includes lobster, clam chowder, steamed clams, mussels, corn on the cob, roasted red potato, onion, hot rolls and blueberry crumb cake.  Chicken is available for those who don’t want lobster.  Coffee, tea, and lemonade are included.  There also is a cash bar.  You need to choose lobster or chicken dinner when you sign up. After lunch we will travel to a site near York.  We are still working on the particulars and should know by the beginning of March.  We expect to be home around 5 p.m.  The cost is $100.00 which includes the bus, meal and driver tip. After lunch we will travel to a site near York.  We are still working on the particulars and should know by the beginning of March.  We expect to be home around 5 p.m.  The cost is $100.00 which includes the bus, meal and driver tip. DROP IN GAMES (Registration not required) Join us to play Canasta, Casual Cribbage, UNO or something of your choosing! All levels welcome and we'll teach you if you are new to the game! These games are "drop in" and registration is NOT required. CanastaEvery Monday. The Senior Room/Drill Room is available for you to use to join us in Canasta or other games if you choose. Day: Monday Time: 1:00 to 3:00.Fee: FREE for Age Friendly Members   $1.00 per session for non membersCasual Cribbage GameWe are starting a Casual Cribbage time for the 50 + population.This is being offered for those who want to learn how to play cribbage or just want to casually play a game and have a few laughs! The Age Friendly Guide to this game is John Miller, who has many years of playing Cribbage experience. We will supply the cards and the cribs. You can choose to have a lobster dinner which includes lobster, clam chowder, steamed clams, mussels, corn on the cob, roasted red potato, onion, hot rolls and blueberry crumb cake.  Chicken is available for those who don’t want lobster.  Coffee, tea, and lemonade are included.  There also is a cash bar.  You need to choose lobster or chicken dinner when you sign up. After lunch we will travel to a site near York.  We are still working on the particulars and should know by the beginning of March.  We expect to be home around 5 p.m.  The cost is $100.00 which includes the bus, meal and driver tip. Sign up early!!OGUNQUIT PLAYHOUSE – Wednesday, June 11, 2025We will leave the Lewiston Park and Ride at 12 noon and travel to Ogunquit to see “Come from Away”, a true story about a small town in Newfoundland that takes in 7,000 stranded passengers on 9/11.  After the play we will travel to the Clambake in Scarborough for dinner on your own.  We should be home between 7:30 and 8:00 p.m. The cost is $110.00 which includes the bus, show and driver tip.  The deadline to sign up is May 7th. CHARLES SIGHT SEEING CRUISE- Monday July 28, 2025Join us for cheesecake and a river boat ride down the Charles River in Cambridge, MA on July 28, 2025.  We will leave the Lewiston Park and Ride on Lisbon Street at 9:00 a.m. and travel to the Cheesecake Factory for lunch.  You will get to select from a limited menu but a piece of cheesecake and a beverage is a definite part of every meal.  After lunch we will head to the boat for a 70 minute ride on the Charles River.  We should be home around 5:30 p.m.  The cost of the trip is $115.00 and includes the bus, meal, boat ride, and tips for the boat staff and bus driver.  Deadline to sign up is 6/30/25.TRAIN RIDE – Tuesday August 5, 2025 Enjoy a train ride and a sampling of Maine made drinks on August 5, 2025 as we travel to Alna, Maine and board the Wiscasset, Waterville and Farmington Railway.  We will leave the Lewiston Park and Ride at 8:30 a.m. for the train ride which will also give you the chance to see the museum and their store.  After the train ride we will travel to the Taste of Maine in Woolwich for lunch on your own.  We then go to the Maine Tasting Center to learn about Maine drinks.  You will get to taste beer, cider, mead, wine and a spirit.  We should be home around 4:30 p.m.  The cost is $115.00 which includes the bus, train, tasting and tip for the bus driver.  This trip is limited to 40 people and the deadline to sign up is July 3, 3025.OGUNQUIT PLAYHOUSE – Wednesday, September 24, 2025We will leave the Lewiston Park and Ride at 12 noon and head straight to the   playhouse to see “When Elvis Met the Beatles”. After lunch we will travel to a site near York.  We are still working on the particulars and should know by the beginning of March.  We expect to be home around 5 p.m.  The cost is $100.00 which includes the bus, meal and driver tip. DROP IN GAMES (Registration not required) Join us to play Canasta, Casual Cribbage, UNO or something of your choosing! All levels welcome and we'll teach you if you are new to the game! These games are "drop in" and registration is NOT required. CanastaEvery Monday. The Senior Room/Drill Room is available for you to use to join us in Canasta or other games if you choose. You can choose to have a lobster dinner which includes lobster, clam chowder, steamed clams, mussels, corn on the cob, roasted red potato, onion, hot rolls and blueberry crumb cake.  Chicken is available for those who don’t want lobster.  Coffee, tea, and lemonade are included.  There also is a cash bar.  You need to choose lobster or chicken dinner when you sign up. After lunch we will travel to a site near York.  We are still working on the particulars and should know by the beginning of March.  We expect to be home around 5 p.m.  The cost is $100.00 which includes the bus, meal and driver tip. Sign up early!!OGUNQUIT PLAYHOUSE – Wednesday, June 11, 2025We will leave the Lewiston Park and Ride at 12 noon and travel to Ogunquit to see “Come from Away”, a true story about a small town in Newfoundland that takes in 7,000 stranded passengers on 9/11.  After the play we will travel to the Clambake in Scarborough for dinner on your own.  We should be home between 7:30 and 8:00 p.m. The cost is $110.00 which includes the bus, show and driver tip.  The deadline to sign up is May 7th. CHARLES SIGHT SEEING CRUISE- Monday July 28, 2025Join us for cheesecake and a river boat ride down the Charles River in Cambridge, MA on July 28, 2025.  We will leave the Lewiston Park and Ride on Lisbon Street at 9:00 a.m. and travel to the Cheesecake Factory for lunch.  You will get to select from a limited menu but a piece of cheesecake and a beverage is a definite part of every meal.  After lunch we will head to the boat for a 70 minute ride on the Charles River.  We should be home around 5:30 p.m.  The cost of the trip is $115.00 and includes the bus, meal, boat ride, and tips for the boat staff and bus driver.  Deadline to sign up is 6/30/25.TRAIN RIDE – Tuesday August 5, 2025 Enjoy a train ride and a sampling of Maine made drinks on August 5, 2025 as we travel to Alna, Maine and board the Wiscasset, Waterville and Farmington Railway.  We will leave the Lewiston Park and Ride at 8:30 a.m. for the train ride which will also give you the chance to see the museum and their store.  After the train ride we will travel to the Taste of Maine in Woolwich for lunch on your own.  We then go to the Maine Tasting Center to learn about Maine drinks.  You will get to taste beer, cider, mead, wine and a spirit.  We should be home around 4:30 p.m.  The cost is $115.00 which includes the bus, train, tasting and tip for the bus driver.  This trip is limited to 40 people and the deadline to sign up is July 3, 3025.OGUNQUIT PLAYHOUSE – Wednesday, September 24, 2025We will leave the Lewiston Park and Ride at 12 noon and head straight to the   playhouse to see “When Elvis Met the Beatles”. Welcome to the the Lewiston Senior Citizens Program page! We are a private organization governed by a volunteer board of directors. Our activities happen at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave. in the Senior Center. Included with our annual membership fee are activities which are listed below as well as a monthly newsletter. Doors open at 8 a.m. play starts at 9 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Fee for league (Sept. to May) and optional weekly pool. If there is a 2 hour delay Cribbage and Bingo are cancelled. This decision is up to each program manager.                                                                Membership LuncheonsLewiston Senior Citizens Luncheons are scheduled generally every other month with some exceptions. Lunches and special events are advertised only in the monthly LSC newsletter for members. Registration for these lunches needs to be done on the phone or in the office. Online registration is not available for these events. May 5, 2025 12:15 p.m.  Cinco de Mayo Taco Lunch; Make your own tacos. 2 per person. Chicken or hamburger, all the ingredients, dessert and beverages.Price: $6.00 per person.  Buy your tickets in the Senior Center.         The deadline to sign up is Thursday, May 1st.We will have trivia questions about Mexico, Pinatas, and prizes.  Mexican attire if you want (but optional) and we will have a prize for the best Sombrero .                                                   Day TripsTrip information will be posted here when they are scheduled and announced by the LSC Board of directors. FOSTER’S CLAMBAKE – Tuesday, June 24, 2025We will leave the Lewiston Park and Ride at 9:30 a.m. and travel to Foster’s Clambake. You can choose to have a lobster dinner which includes lobster, clam chowder, steamed clams, mussels, corn on the cob, roasted red potato, onion, hot rolls and blueberry crumb cake.  Chicken is available for those who don’t want lobster.  Coffee, tea, and lemonade are included.  There also is a cash bar.  You need to choose lobster or chicken dinner when you sign up. After lunch we will travel to a site near York.  We are still working on the particulars and should know by the beginning of March.  We expect to be home around 5 p.m.  The cost is $100.00 which includes the bus, meal and driver tip. The deadline to sign up is May 28th. Sign up early!!OGUNQUIT PLAYHOUSE – Wednesday, June 11, 2025We will leave the Lewiston Park and Ride at 12 noon and travel to Ogunquit to see “Come from Away”, a true story about a small town in Newfoundland that takes in 7,000 stranded passengers on 9/11.  After the play we will travel to the Clambake in Scarborough for dinner on your own.  We should be home between 7:30 and 8:00 p.m. The cost is $110.00 which includes the bus, show and driver tip.  The deadline to sign up is May 7th. CHARLES SIGHT SEEING CRUISE- Monday July 28, 2025Join us for cheesecake and a river boat ride down the Charles River in Cambridge, MA on July 28, 2025.  We will leave the Lewiston Park and Ride on Lisbon Street at 9:00 a.m. and travel to the Cheesecake Factory for lunch.  You will get to select from a limited menu but a piece of cheesecake and a beverage is a definite part of every meal.  After lunch we will head to the boat for a 70 minute ride on the Charles River.  We should be home around 5:30 p.m.  The cost of the trip is $115.00 and includes the bus, meal, boat ride, and tips for the boat staff and bus driver.  Deadline to sign up is 6/30/25.TRAIN RIDE – Tuesday August 5, 2025 Enjoy a train ride and a sampling of Maine made drinks on August 5, 2025 as we travel to Alna, Maine and board the Wiscasset, Waterville and Farmington Railway.  We will leave the Lewiston Park and Ride at 8:30 a.m. for the train ride which will also give you the chance to see the museum and their store.  After the train ride we will travel to the Taste of Maine in Woolwich for lunch on your own.  We then go to the Maine Tasting Center to learn about Maine drinks.  You will get to taste beer, cider, mead, wine and a spirit.  We should be home around 4:30 p.m.  The cost is $115.00 which includes the bus, train, tasting and tip for the bus driver.  This trip is limited to 40 people and the deadline to sign up is July 3, 3025.OGUNQUIT PLAYHOUSE – Wednesday, September 24, 2025We will leave the Lewiston Park and Ride at 12 noon and head straight to the   playhouse to see “When Elvis Met the Beatles”. After the play we will travel to the Clambake for dinner on your own.  Should be home around 7 p.m.  The cost is $110.00 which includes play, bus and driver tip.  Deadline to sign up is 8/22/25   Link to register is below.  Note: All trip refunds issued by the Lewiston Senior Citizens will be subject to a $10 administrative fee. There is a 2.5% non refundable charge when using a credit card. Trips cannot be cancelled 14 days prior to the trip date. You are advised to find someone to purchase your spot to keep from losing money.                                           Online Registration Information:-You do not need to be a LSC member to register for day trips. You must have an account set up in MY Rec to register online. If you are a 2024 LSC Member there is an account set up for you already.-Click on the trip you are choosing. Follow each step carefully when you get to completing your purchases you'll have 2 options. Option 1: A complete online registration to purchase a trip or membership is only available by credit card purchase.Option 2: If you want to register online but not use a credit card you can do this but your seat is not reserved until approved by Lewiston Rec staff.
