Lewiston Senior Citizens Program Activities: Games/Activities/Daytrips/Lunches - Mahjong Drop in (Drill Room) Welcome to the Lewiston Senior Citizens Program page! We are a private organization governed by a volunteer board of directors. Our activities happen at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave. in the Senior Center. Included with our annual membership fee are activities which are listed below as well as a monthly newsletter. Reminder: If inclement weather occurs LSC activities are cancelled when the Lewiston Public Schools system closes. If there is a 2 hour delay Cribbage and Bingo are cancelled. This decision is up to each program manager. Membership LuncheonsLewiston Senior Citizens Luncheons and speaker are scheduled generally every other month with some exceptions. (Sept. Thanksgivings and Holiday events, January, March, May, and summer fun day)Lunches and special events are advertised in the monthly LSC newsletter.Registration and ticket purchases for these lunches can be done online (scroll below and click on link) by phone or in the office.2026 FUN DAY! 60s Theme Retro Party! Break out your best tie dye clothes and join in on the fun! Date: Monday, August 24, 2026Time: Bingo 10 A.M. to 11:00Games, Prizes, Food 11:00 AM to 3:00 PMLocation: Left Hand Club, Old County Road to Wagg Road, Lisbon ME 04250Fee: $10.00 per person, cash bar available ( You do not need to be a LSC member to attend and you can register a friend or relative.) Food: Hamburgers, hot dogs, salads, chips, dessert and water will be provided. Beverages cannot be brought to the event, they must be purchased at the facility.Please purchase tickets here on the link below or in the Senior Office at the Armory no later than Thursday, August 20th.October 5th Membership Luncheon at the ArmoryDetails to be announced! Day TripsTrip information will be posted here when they are scheduled and announced by the LSC Board of Directors. Registration for day trips must be done individually or members living within the same household. Seating is assigned by registration date. MAINE BOTANICAL GARDENS -WEDNESDAY - AUGUST 26, 2026 (Registration Closed)We will leave the Lewiston Park and Ride at 8:15 a.m. and head to Boothbay. You will have the morning to view all the beautiful flowers and the gigantic trolls.When we leave the gardens we will stop at the Taste of Maine for lunch on your own. We should be home around 4 p.m. The price is $76.00 pp which includes the bus, gardens admission and tips. Deadline to sign up in the office or on line is July 24th, 2026. Haunted Ride on the Charles River-Tuesday, October 27, 2026 (Full -wait list available) We will leave the Lewiston Park and Ride at 9:00 am and go to the Cheesecake Factory for an included lunch. After lunch we will board the boat and learn about the haunted areas around the river. After the boat ride we will head home. Cost is $130 pp which includes lunch, the boat, and tips for the meal and bus driver. Deadline to sign up is September 29, 2006. Lewiston Senior Citizens Program/Lewiston Recreation Dept. Cancellation Policy: If the LSC trip cancellation is more than 14 days away from the date, a refund is given minus a $10 administration service charge. The 2.5% credit card use charge is non refundable.If the cancellation is within the 14-day period of the trip date without medical reason, there will be no refund. Trips are non-transferable. Online Registration Information:-You do not need to be a LSC member to register for day trips however you must have an account set up in MY Rec to register online. If you are a LSC Member or have done trips or activities with LSC in the past there is an account set up for you already. The user name is your email address and you set up the password.-Click on the trip you are choosing. Follow each step carefully when you get to completing your purchases you'll have 2 options. Option 1: A complete online registration to purchase a trip or membership is only available by credit card purchase.Option 2: If you want to register online but not use a credit card you can do this but your seat is not reserved until approved by Lewiston Rec staff. This is called Pre-registration. When you reach the choice of CHECK OUT ON LINE or PRINT A PRE-REGISTRATION FORM click on Print a pre-registration form. Option 3: Call 513-3059 for assistance with your registration*****Extended Trips/Tours/Overnights******Announcements regarding these trips are only available through the Lewiston Senior Citizens monthly newsletter. Table tennis supports hand-eye coordination, keeps reflexes sharp, and helps raise your heart rate! You will also meet players from around Lewiston who enjoy the sport.This drop-in program costs $2 for residents and $3 for non-residents.Registration is not required, although we recommend signing up for communication purposes.Questions?
