In an effort to promote healthy lifestyles the goal of this program is to encourage the area 50+ population to take advantage of the outdoors, get some exercise and eat healthy.Time:The Bates Walking Group will start walking again Friday Sept.5th until mid Oct. at 10:00 to 11:00. Location:We will meet at Bates College Campus on the right side of the Dining Services building at the red picnic tables and walk throughout the campus. Stephanie will lead a slower paced walk with available seating if needed.Those who choose to can end the sessions at Bates Dining Commons to take advantage of their lunch menu for $12. Join the Lewiston Recreation Department this Fall as we begin our first year of Middle School Travel Volleyball! This program is for players who are interested in the sport and want to grow their skills where they will practice twice a week and then we will look to schedule games/play days with other towns throughout the season! Who: Boys & Girls; Grades 6th-8th Practice Dates: Tuesdays & Wednesdays, Sept. 9th to Oct. 29th Practice Times: 5PM-6:30PM Picture Day: October 8th at 4:45PM before practice begins Practice Location: Most days will be at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave, HOWEVER, depending on when the gym floor is being re-finished, practices will be held at Geiger or Connors Elementary School.  Games: Games/play days will be both Home & Away and can be a weekday or weekend matchup. Join the Lewiston Recreation Department this Fall as we begin our first year of Middle School Travel Volleyball! This program is for players who are interested in the sport and want to grow their skills where they will practice twice a week and then we will look to schedule games/play days with other towns throughout the season! Who: Boys & Girls; Grades 6th-8th Practice Dates: Tuesdays & Wednesdays, Sept. 9th to Oct. 29th Practice Times: 5PM-6:30PM Picture Day: October 8th at 4:45PM before practice begins Practice Location: Most days will be at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave, HOWEVER, depending on when the gym floor is being re-finished, practices will be held at Geiger or Connors Elementary School.  Games: Games/play days will be both Home & Away and can be a weekday or weekend matchup. Lewiston Recreation offers 5 Adult Volleyball leagues of various levels of play. Only 1 person, typically the captain of the team, will need to register for a league.
